I don't really live in Brazil, but if it gets pretty hot down there, this doesn't seem weird at all. Saves on electric bills yo.
Why can't anyone plug in their equipment? If you're going to use a prop, use it damn it. That's like taking a picture of a chef, but they are holding the wrong end of the knife. Can't overlook it.
