i'm curious what the general rules are for reposting in this subreddit. i'm not against it in general, but there have to be circumstances where it's not really necessary or called for. at the time of posting, an identical post to this one (same title, same image) is the 6th most upvoted post on this subreddit [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/nextdoorasians/comments/5cj72w/by_the_elevator/). i generally feel like a repost is fine if someone new to the subreddit wouldn't have seen it by skimming the front page or looking over the "top" page with "all time" set, but i'm sure some people have stricter rules (e.g. "don't repost something for a week"), and some people must have looser rules (e.g. "anything outside of the top 5 of all time should be fair to post again"). i mean i'm asking all this to try to get a better sense of what's okay vs what's not, since this seems to be okay, which happened to be against my intuition.
