PETA isn't making people into vegetarians, it's getting them into vore.
Ironically, I've met quite a few vegans who relished the thought of eating human flesh. I hate to think all of my tasty, nourishing goodness may go to waste when I slip out of this meat suit. PS: peta is not a trustworthy institution. In fact, I would go so far as to postulate that they are sponsored by the meat council to arouse anti-vegetarian sentiment, but then perhaps I've been spending too much time in r/conspiracy...
I don't think they realized that you can in fact eat every part of the human body except the brain. You can get a disease known as Kuru if you eat the brain. side note: I have a theory that american's taste a bit like chicken....
