To me the short version is hot is hot whether trans or not. If I find a girl who happens to be trans and I am still attracted to her it is not a big deal. Another nice thing about trans girls is I tend to think they have better personalities. I think the fetish thing is more common due to the downsides associated with dating someone who is trans which in turn makes it more likely the person you are dating needs a more extreme reason to date you versus a non trans girl.
