In, like, 1990 I was at a second run movie theatre called "the Paradise" in Vancouver, BC with my then girlfriend. The deal was you pay 3 or 4 bucks and you get to stay for three movies if you like. We had great seats: first row balcony and had just watched some half decent film. Then the Hot Spot came on. It was so boring that we decided to bail after 10 minutes, and come back for the third feature. Years later, after hearing about how good the film actually was, we finally watched it on VHS, and I was filled with regret.
