Sorry but this phrase "[a thing of beauty](https://literarydevices.net/a-thing-of-beauty-is-a-joy-for-ever/)" is often misused and erroneously applied to people. If you care about such things, it explicitly refers to the beauty of *objects* or sometimes achievements, which do not lose their beauty over time. Humans are impermanent things and their beauty can only be temporary. I agree with the sentiment, though.
