I've never understood why they always portray the main character as essentially terrified of women
Even though this makes it look bad, the show is actually quite realistic psychologically. What you see in this gif is caused by a supernatural twist that causes certain weird phenomenons, which makes things interesting. The show has multiple male and female characters that are not self-insert, and there are a lot of interesting character dynamics. The characters acknowledge these weird phenomenons and what they cause, it's not a basic "misunderstanding" show. It's obviously no excuse for "plot" but in this show it's actually interesting.
This show was so good.
