I know the *point* is to appeal to a specific collection of fetishes, which is his whole schtick, and obviously it works for him in terms of the exposure and presumably commensurate income that comes of it, but man... I just can't understand the appeal of this approach to porn. I'm not even talking visually, but conceptually: If you LIKE Raven as a character, presumably you're invested in her personality and mannerisms, right? If you wanted porn of her, you'd want it to seem authentic enough that it didn't just seem like some girl who shares a few cosmetic similarities with her? So I don't get the thinking here; creating a character who sort of looks like Raven, but has nothing which signifies who she is as a person. It feels to me like it undercuts the whole point of drawing an established character. But what the hell. His work seems popular, so I guess he knows his business.
