I've been in BDSM for quite a while and wooden clothespins are still one of my favorite toys.
For free/ cheap toys, you can also use 2 chop sticks and small rubber bands. Woks on nipples or put on someone tongue to make it hard to talk and likely drool a bit on themselves.
My sub and I got some clothes pins, but she found them to be too much to start out too early with. They're fun on skin, or when she's already warmed up, but I also took the springs out on a pair and bent them back more to make them squeeze a bit softer, and that helped.
The clothespins can be severe, it's an interesting contrast to the cute little collar.

Next, rip them off quickly. If you get used to it, tie a string to each and yank it to rip both of them off at the same time.
