Fun fact: the reason you have indigo as one of the colors of the rainbow is because when Newton was doing experiments with light and he saw the rainbow that comes through a prism he REALLY WANTED that rainbow to have 7 different colors. Turns out he was really into Greek mythology (or maybe Greek philosophy, not totally sure) and 7 was a big deal for them. So instead of saying “there are definitely 6 colors here” he said “I’m gonna add another so that I can appease myself.”
