Dance like you have socialized healthcare
Never got pinned with any medical issues, but the amount of money it took my dumb ass to figure not to wear glasses in the pit is too high.
This is true.
I was at Hellfest many years ago where one of my Canadian friends got injured and had to drive back over the border for treatment. Was a total bummer.
As a Canadian who’s watched my friends break ankles, fingers, wrists and noses at shows I’m always super grateful it’ll cost next to nothing and I always get a kick out of the reaction at intake when they ask “how did this happen?”
Does this mean we'll never get a Malevolence U.S. tour?
Damn this hits home. I once had to get an x-ray and then get PT for a pit-related injury. So lucky I had health insurance through Obamacare.
I actually think and joke about this all the time.
Jokes aside: I will say this is easy to do when our bands are the hardest in the world. I'll never be an American exceptionalist...except for hard music. Don't @ me.
