Honestly, it's a cheaper tactic, but it would work on me, at least once. Like I am not a fan of Budweiser and never buy their products, but if they came out with a half naked lady six pack, I'd pick one up.

Not sure if it was a national phenomenon or just a local thing, but for a while in my small Ohio town in the '70s it was cool to collect used beer cans the same way some people might have a stamp collection. If you want to know how times have changed, I remember my school bus driver letting kids off the bus a few times to let us pick up beer cans from the side of the road. This wasn't high school, either; I was nine. Had almost 50 cans. Eventually someone's parents complained, but the result was only that our bus driver couldn't let us root around for cans on the way to school anymore.
My dad has these in his collection.
