What’s going on in the play?
All fun aside this proves what rubbed me wrong about the Killer Joe movie adaptation. In the story, a guy bribes an assassin to kill his mom by allowing the assassin to rape his 13 year old sister (this scene). The stage actor on the right acts as someone would when an old man gives them commands as a sex slave. With no context, the Juno Temple one on the left is... hot. Without the knowledge that Juno Temple is an adult actor, this whole bit in the movie feels like a child rape fantasy. And the assassin? Matthew fricking McConaughey. They cast two beautiful actors to adapt this depraved trailer trash rape scene. A questionable artistic choice at best.
I’d go for Juno any time...
