I'd have to put *Breakfast Club* as John Hughes' best film. *Some Kind of Wonderful* would probably be next for me. Then a lateral move to his non-teen comedies, your *Uncle Bucks* and *Planes, Trains, and Automobiles*. The original *Home Alone* is a very funny movie, although I think it's reputation is soured by the *Home Alones* that came after. *Pretty in Pink* was okay, and I never had much of a connection to *Sixteen Candles*, but that may be because I was too young when I saw it and never revisited. *Breakfast Club* is a movie that I think legitimately made me a better person.
Came for sexiness, leaving with the mental image of John Cusack holding a portable stereo over his head while Simple Minds plays in the background. A fair trade, I think.
