She was as iconic as any in the 1970's--the Chicago Sting NASL team even drafted her in 1976, making her the first woman ever drafted by a major sports franchise. This almost led to a gig working in their public relations department, but a PR gaffe by the Sting led to her being banned from working with team--but she quickly and quietly disappeared, as she apparently was overwhelmed by the publicity and retreated to her private life. Even the magazine has no information on her whereabouts now, which in today's internet era is amazing.
