Are most models more toned nowadays? Looking at a lot of these "vintage" photos from 50s through 70s, most of the women, though slim, seem a little jiggly beneath their skin. The fitness movement, especially every day gym going and weight training, hit in the 1980s. Maybe started on the coasts in the 19 70s, then spread inland, and then to Europe in the 1990s. I remember going to a Paris gym in the 1990s. Didn't open until 9:00 am, and the free weights for the power lift bars were about 5 lbs each, two kilos if I remember correctly.
