Following an unhappy childhood - raised by her grandparents - Tina Virenius traveled widely around Europe, at one point joining a Swedish dance company. Arriving in America, she headed for the west coast and presented herself as an aspiring singer/actress. Married briefly (becoming Gina Goldberg in the process), she was advised by a friend to try out with Playboy. After achieving Playmate status she featured in several Special Edition publications.
