Finally somewhere where I can share this. When I worked in retail, "edging" was used to describe aligning the edge of hanging pants with the edge of the squared hanger. When we had a whole rack of pants, and one of my duties was to "edge" it, I would act like I'm masturbating the rack for a few seconds and dramatically take my hand away. Then I'd just laugh by myself.
