Story time: I think a lot of my body issues have come from the fact that I feel I haven't been validated in my looks by anyone romantically or sexually attracted to me. As a girl growing up, I began to see others get boyfriends, first kisses, etc. and wondered why that hadn't happened to me. And when your'e 13 and growing up awkward, you place all of your value on your looks. Your mom can call you beautiful all she wants, but it just never means the same thing, does it? But onto my 3rd year of college and I am embracing myself more and more. And if it's mean to happen, someone who loves me will show up. But for now, I'm really happy to love myself for the first time in a long time.
