To be fair, the foot fetish community is extremely diverse and many people in it have different tastes. I've seen some condemn long feet as "manly" while others condemn short feet as "stubby" or even "hobbit feet." You really shouldn't take it to heart, as the redditor may have been harsh, but you still have quite some admirers here. tl;dr It happens, don't worry.
