It's by the Russian photographer Denis Red ([denred.ru](http://www.denred.ru/), [dstudio.org](http://www.dstudio.org/), [4-art.ru](http://4-art.ru)). His work is amazing and he instantly became one of my favorites photographers. (Thanks to /u/hastasiempre whose [comment](http://www.reddit.com/r/datgap/comments/23ow0j/simply_stunning/cgz8n8i) encouraged me to try TinEye after I had initially dismissed it.)
