Well, sexual violence, verbal abuse, controlling where you go/see are perfectly fine, and acceptable WITH consent. However, I agree the books are trash that glorifies the "you're my sub, just deal with it" style of non-consensual behavior. Go watch the movie Secretary if you want to see a healthy BDSM relationship movie where the couple actually grow together and make eachother happy.
Fifty shades has brought BDSM into the mainstream lime light. I hope that people understand that it is a work of erotic fiction and not the common reality for those who live in BDSM life styles.

Jealousy and possessiveness? Come on, people. That's a sign of abuse, I guess, in the same way a driver's license is a sign of car ownership.
