This is pretty nifty. Although the only thing I can think about is making sure you install a real fire alarm in a close by room, you know, for safety :)
Found the tie downs at Home Depot, as well as a $5 smoke alarm. Took the smoke alarm apart and removed the insides, left the speaker and test button to keep the "authentic" look. Then used my dremel tool to cut out the frame so it was just an empty shell. Mounted the tie down to the stud using 1/4 X 3" lag bolts.

I did this same thing in my room. Ours is for the sex swing I got my wife for Xmas. I try to take pics and post later tonight.
