Lucky that joist has metal joist hangers, otherwise the torque of that bolt, especially lacking any large washers, would split the joist and drop their face on that concrete floor. You either need to drive them upward into it a few inches with a lag hook, or go for the halfway point and have some 2 inch or larger thick washers. Im not really happy with the bolt thickness either because any large jolts could start bending and eventually snapping it but if its good american steel it should last, most bolts aren't unless you are getting specific high-quality grade bolts..
He did a nice job for his first suspension.
