A fun idea I've been working on is to incorporate this into a rope corset. Use lines going down the legs in what is essentially a gunslinger hip harness for the "garters" and have them attach (if you plan it well this can be the point where you extend your rope)/turn into the "stockings" as they reach the thigh. You could do the same thing with two different colors of rope to make it pop even more.
